Fans of the hit 2018 comedy, Game Night, have been clamoring for a sequel since the film’s release. Directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the movie featured a star-studded cast including Rachel McAdams, Jason Bateman, and Kyle Chandler. With its sharp writing, fast-paced action, and slick visual style, Game Night was a hit with both audiences and critics alike.

One person who is also keen on the idea of Game Night 2 is star Rachel McAdams. In an interview with Empire, she revealed that even her own mother urged her to do a sequel after watching the first film. McAdams expressed her enthusiasm for reprising her role, stating, “I would totally be down for that. I love Daley and Goldstein, and I love a game night, so it’s the perfect package for me. Also, I don’t wanna disappoint my mom!”

While fans will have to wait to see if a Game Night sequel materializes, McAdams is currently keeping busy with her role in the film adaptation of Judy Blume’s classic book, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. She describes the project as “thoroughly wonderful” and highlights its focus on female empowerment and motherhood, which resonated with her as a new mother herself. McAdams appreciated the care taken in depicting the subject of puberty on screen and praised the film’s intergenerational perspective, which adds depth to the characters of Margaret’s mother and grandmother. She sees it as an important story that deserves to be told.

As Game Night fans eagerly await news of a potential sequel, McAdams’ endorsement only fuels their excitement. The combination of the talented cast, the directors’ unique style, and the success of the original film make Game Night 2 a highly anticipated prospect. So, can someone please get the ball rolling on that? The fans, including the moms, are eagerly waiting.
