[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”30737″ img_size=”760×521″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Randall Park has just launched a production company that is dedicated to telling Asian American stories. Teaming up with playwright Michael Golamco and film producer Hieu Ho, Park has founded the production company called Imminent Collision. The three met at UCLA and founded the Asian American theater company called Lapu The Coyote That Cares.

In a joint statement, the trio announced:

“Our immigrant parents came to America with a dream. That dream was for their children to land a first-look television producing deal, scripted and unscripted, at a major Hollywood studio.”

Imminent Collision has already landed its first deal with 20th Century Fox TV, which president of Creative Affairs, Carolyn Cassidy commented on:

The new production company has already landed its first deal with 20th Century Fox TV, which is the studio behind Fresh Off The Boat.

“We’ve had the pleasure for years of watching Randall as an anchor of our beloved series, Fresh Off the Boat. He is as hilarious as he is kind and talented. He introduced us to his longtime friends and collaborators Michael and Hieu. They blew us away with their taste and passion for creating television shows from their own unique perspective as Asian-American creators, and we knew immediately that we had to be in business with them. They’re smart, driven and brimming with ideas. They share our desire to bring voices to the screen that are underrepresented and in doing so, create series that reflect the drama and humor of the world we live in today.”

You can expect Park to reprise his role as Agent Jimmy Woo in the upcoming series WandaVision on Disney+.
