“Your ledger is dripping, it’s gushing red.”

Is a conversation that Loki and Natasha have in 2012’s Avengers set to pay off in the upcoming Black Widow movie? According to recent reports, Ray Winstone is finally shedding light on his role in the Marel film. Winstone will be playing Dreykov, who runs the Red Room program. Natasha has had some history with Dreykov, as Loki stated in the first Avengers film – which Clint Barton had supposedly revealed to him while brainwashed.

LOKI: “Can you wipe out that much red? Dreykov’s daughter, São Paulo, the hospital fire… Barton told me everything.”

Black Widow takes place after Captain America: Civil War and the movie seems to be Natasha’s journey of righting the wrongs of her past. No more running. Natasha has been wanting to wipe that ledger clean since Avengers and nw that she has some time away from Cap and the others, it may seem like it’s time to do so. First, she needs to reunite with her Russian family, which includes Yelena, Melina, and Alexei. While Black Widow has been pulled from its May 1st release date, here’s hoping we won’t have to wait too long to see Scarlett Johansson’s solo film.
