Batman: Hush Review (2019)

Synopsis: A mysterious villain tries to take down Batman

I remember when Batman: Hush was first announced, everyone that knew about Batman: Hush storyline in the comics including me could not wait for this animated film to be released.

My expectations were too high sadly, but do not get me wrong they were redeeming qualities but not enough to make me like this as much as most people. My biggest problem with the film was the big twist, I will say the animation is a little annoying, but that’s because I am spoiled when it comes animation and, some of the dialogue, other than that I enjoyed Batman Hush. The chemistry between all the characters was on point, Love the dramatic tension, and even though I did not like the twist I did not see it coming.

When it comes to the animation for Dc, it doesn’t seem like they are trying to go out of their comfort zone. Other than Batman Ninja, everything seems the same and a bit bland. They have the potential to dig deeper into animation, much like what Sony did with Spider-Man into the spider-verse, which is groundbreaking. DC needs to step up their game with their animations.

The chemistry between characters especially with Bruce Wayne/ Batman and Salena Kyle/ Catwoman I don’t know what it is with these two, but no matter the medium the chemistry between the two is always perfect. Love the moment where Damian talks with his Father; it had me dying.

Overall I had a good time with Batman Hush, but it was not as good as I hoped it would be. Even though it had redeeming qualities, it just wasn’t on the level as I hoped it would be on.

Score
