Beloved actor Rick Moranis was attacked on Thursday in New York City. Several news outlets have released footage of the man who punched Moranis, though it’s not clear why.
His representative released a statement:
“He is fine but grateful for everyone’s thoughts and well wishes.”
Prior to showing up in Ryan Reynolds’ Mint Mobile commercial, Moranis had stayed out of the public eye for twenty-three years. The attack on his person occurred in broad daylight just before 7:30 am. The attack happened on Central Park West near 70th Street. Moranis went to the hospital with pain in his head, back, and hip. He then went to the police station to report the crime.
We wish Moranis a speedy recovery.
