Okay, so I don’t know if this is a useless post or will have some people asking, who cares? I care. You guys know, I love American Gods. I’ve been on this show since season one and throughout it all, I’ve been hooked. The behind-the-scenes drama never mattered to me. The actors and the story being told mattered and that’s it. And after reading Neil Gaiman’s book, which the STARZ show was based on; I knew that the show only had one more season to go in order to complete the story.

That was when STARZ canceled the show. Season three ended with a massive cliffhanger and book fans know there’s only one season’s worth of story left. It was a huge let-down. American Gods has had several showrunners and there was that huge controversy brought to life by Orlando Jones – so, I get why some fans abandoned ship along the way. But, I think for a lot of people, we just wanted to enjoy American Gods no matter what. I still miss it.

I appreciate that lead star Ricky Whittle (who played Shadow Moon) still wants to play the character. When STARZ canceled the show, Fremantle (the production company behind American Gods) made a vow that they’d find a way to finish the story. Whether that was with a shortened season or a TV movie, they’d do it. Well, it’s been a year, and still, nothing. Whittle still champions for it and author Neil Gaiman does too.

So, that’s the news. Here’s the tweet:

They do. I really hope they make good on their promise to #finishthestory https://t.co/pBpTj2tFNC
