Robert Pattinson Says He Will Not Work Out Constantly For Batman Role

Plenty of actors have a “superhero diet/work out plan” when cast as a comic book character. We’ve seen this in plenty of actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and even Christian Bale, who gained forty-three pounds to bulk up for his take on Batman. Robert Pattinson, the new Batman actor; has expressed that he will not be adopting this habit. In fact, he expressed that working out constantly is “part of the problem”.

“I think if you’re working out all the time, you’re part of the problem.”

He added:

“You set a precedent. No one was doing this in the 1970s. Even James Dean – he wasn’t exactly ripped.”

He added, commenting about his time as Edward in the Twilight series:

“The one time they told me to take my shirt off, I think they told me to put it back on again.”

Pattinson says he’s “barely doing anything” during his quarantine time, when his personal trainer “plead with him to use the Bosu ball and single weight” that he possesses. The Independent did add that he’s sticking to a meal plan of oatmeal with vanilla protein powder and tuna topped with Tabasco.

What do you think about Pattinson’s comments?
