Our friends over at The NerdRage Podcast have got some scoops that they covered on their weekly podcast. One of the big scoops that they covered this week was a conversation they had with Jay Oliva at Comic Con. Speaking with Jay, the team at NerdRage Podcast was told that
“fans should not count out the SnyderCut movement and that they are working on something in the background”
There were no further details given but Jay has expressed numerous times on Twitter that the cut does exist so if they are working on something in the background then this is terrific news.
We also got word that Onyx Adams would also be making her on screen debut in the Birds of Prey film. In the comics Onyx Adams was a member of the League of Assassins. No further details were provided about her character at this time so we are not sure if she will work for or against the Birds of Prey. Right now the cast is reported to consist of Huntress, Black Canary, Renee Montoya and Harley Quinn who are trying to rescue Cassandra Cain.
The last little bit of news is exciting for sure and once again will be part of the Birds of Prey film. They claim that Black Mask won’t be the only villain of the film. A character casting breakdown lists someone know only as Mr. Jones. No further details are given about the character but if Black Mask is the main villain and the crime boss then one would assume Mr. Jones will be the muscle. They go on to speculate who “Mr. Jones” by naming Waylon Jones aka Killer Croc. Last time we saw Killer Croc was in Suicide Squad. He would provide the muscle that’s for sure.
We cannot stress enough that all of this is rumor right now and nothing has been confirmed by Warner Bros. We also cannot confirm or deny the comments of Jay Oliva regarding the SnyderCut. We can confirm that we have heard the Mr. Jones name being mentioned when it comes to Birds of Prey.
How do you feel about what NerdRage Podcast reported? Do you hope we get a SnyderCut some day? What’s your thoughts on Onyx Adams and Mr. Jones for Birds of Prey? Leave us a comment below.
