According to a report from Deadline, Russell Crowe is joining the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder.
Crowe’s role is said to be nothing more than a “fun cameo”. His appearance was supposed to remain a secret, but Crowe was seen in Australia with others from the cast. The last time we saw Russell Crowe in a film was last years road rage thriller, Unhinged. We also heard his voiceover in this years Zack Snyder’s Justice League as Jor-El.
Considering that Matt Damon, Sam Neill and Luke Hemsworth are reprising their roles as Asgardian stage actors, Crowe could be joining that trio this time around.
Crowe will join Christian Bale in the film as newcomers to the MCU. Also making appearances are Chris Pratt and the rest of the Guardians cast.
The film of course stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, and will feature the return of Natalie Portman and Jaimie Alexander.
