Fans can do marvelous things. The fans behind the ‘Release the Snyder Cut’ movement were able to be heard by Warner Bros. to get Zack Snyder back in to make his vision of the Justice League come to life. Can fans accomplish this again? The #SaveDaredevil movement has been going on for a while now. Ever since Netflix canceled the entire Marvel universe on its platform, fans have been wanting to see their street-level heroes again. Specifically Daredevil. And specifically Charlie Cox.
Think of Daredevil as the Iron Man of the Netflix Marvel universe. He’s the one who started it all – back in 2015 when Netflix was still in its beginning streaming stages. So many of us flocked to Netflix to check out this series. And Cox was responsible in crafting such an amazing character that the idea of Marvel Studios recasting once they have the rights to Matt Murdock back honestly seems ludicrous.
That’s why #SaveDaredevil is here. Their savedaredevil.com/petition has over 364,153 signatures and is growing every day. Their mission is to show Marvel and Disney that we don’t want anyone else, but Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. You can get the word out by using the hashtag #SaveDaredevil. They are having a social media event on November 29th to really get the word out.
