Damn…it feels good to be a Marvel fan. With this year’s San Diego Comic Con, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige announced that Phase 4 of the MCU would end with the Disney+ show She-Hulk and the highly anticipated film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. People wondered what the MCU would look like after Avengers: Endgame and while Phase 4 has been slightly rocky (though, honestly, there’s a lot more good than there is bad, but I think people may just want to be critical of change), it’s still a great time for love the MCU.

Let me go off on a small tangent here – I think most of Phase 4 has been great. From Black Widow to Shang-Chi, to Hawkeye (yes, I loved the Hawkeye series, never thought I’d say that), WandaVision, Eternals, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, and more; the MCU has continued to deliver. We just need…a direction. And I believe we’ll get it in Phase 5.

We got a lot of goodies in this year’s SDCC. So many shows and movies were announced and I will get to them. Let me, though; geek out about what I’m most excited for. You have to know that I’d be audibly screaming over seeing the announcement of the Daredevil series, to be called Daredevil: Reborn. Yes, we’ve seen reports confirming that Charlie Cox would reprise his role as Matt Murdock in a show for Disney+, but it’s so cool to have it confirmed at SDCC. Plus, the name is cool. Plus, Vincent D’Onofrio will be returning as well. They didn’t announce if Jon Bernthal would return as the Punisher, but a girl can dream, right?

    Phase Five

Let’s get down to the brass tax – that’s what you’re here for! She-Hulk (trailer) and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (trailer) closes out Phase 4. Phase 5 starts in 2023 and here’s the schedule, provided by Forbes:

    • Ant-Man: Quantumania (Movie) – February 17, 2023
    • Secret Invasion (Disney Plus Show) – Spring 2023
    • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (Movie) – May 5, 2023
    • Echo (Disney Plus Show) – Summer 2023
    • Loki Season 2 (Disney Plus Show) – Summer 2023
    • The Marvels (Movie) – July 28, 2023
    • Blade (Movie) – November 3, 2023
    • Ironheart (Disney Plus Show) – Fall 2023
    • Agatha: Coven of Chaos (Disney Plus Show) – Winter 2023/2024
    • Daredevil: Born Again (Disney Plus Show, 18 Episodes) – Spring 2024
    • Captain America: New World Order (Movie) – May 3, 2024
    • Thunderbolts (Movie) – July 26, 2024

I absolutely love that this phase is starting with the third Ant-Man film. We got a taste of Kang the Conquerer in Loki season one, so I’m looking forward to seeing Jonathan Majors reprise his role. We’re entering the Multiverse Saga, as it’s being called (Phases 4, 5, & 6); where Majors will play the big bad. Check out this poster revealing Kang the Conquerer:

    Phase 6

And here is Phase 6’s lineup:

    • Fantastic Four (Movie) – November 8, 2024
    • Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (Movie) – May 2, 2025
    • Avengers: Secret Wars (Movie) – November 7, 2025

So, it looks like we’ll have to wait a few years to see the Fantastic Four, but that’s okay! Also, two Avengers movies in one year? Let’s go! I’m sure there will be a lot more announced for Phase 6 in the upcoming years, so we just have to keep our eyes open. In reality, there’s so much I’m looking forward to. Loki season two, Daredevil: Reborn, Blade, and so much more. In addition, we have the animated series I Am Groot to look forward to. And much more!

What are you most excited for? Let us know!
