Sean Gunn Assures Fans that ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’ Will Happen

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”14597″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]While James Gunn is gearing to direct and write The Suicide Squad (Suicide Squad’s kind-of-sort-of-not sequel), his brother Sean Gunn assures fans that the third Guardians of the Galaxy is still going to happen. It was at a red carpet for a tribute for Stan Lee in L.A. that Sean, who plays Kraglin and performs motion capture for Rocket in GoTG; stated:

“Well, my brother is doing Suicide Squad 2 right now, which I’m really excited about and I know he’s really excited about. I don’t know what’s going on beyond that. I mean, Guardians 3 is gonna get made. We’re gonna make that movie, and we’ll figure out what happens there, but you know, everything ends up having a way of working itself out I think.”

James Gunn’s script for Guardians 3 will still be used, but as far as who is directing the film, it’s hard to say. Either way, I know that James had a plan for the third volume and whether he is there to direct or not, it still should happen as far as I’m concerned. Who can fill Gunn’s shoes? I believe Thor: Ragnarok’s Taika Waititi is a strong contender. Either way, you can check out The Suicide Squad that will be released in 2021 and Avengers: Endgame on April 26, 2019.
