Of course, after over a years wait since the end of Season 7, it would be. If you require proof, and if you’re a fan, you do not, HBO’s Season 8 Trailer for Game of a Thrones has broken its viewing record for a GOT trailer by being viewed over 81 million times in 24 hours. This includes across streaming platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and others. In a surprise to no one it is a clear indicator that excitement for the series is at an all-time high.
The previous record was for the Season 7 trailer which garnered over 61 million views. Thankfully, fans of the show only have a short period of time to wait before all their questions are answered…and there are a LOT of questions. Who will take the Iron Throne? Will it even matter in the end? What will happen to fan favorites? Will Cersei finally get her desires or will she meet the same fate as so many before her? It’s no wonder so many people have viewed this trailer. It signals the beginning of the end to perhaps one of the greatest shows of all time. Are you ready for Season 8 of Game of Thrones?
