Fans of The Magicians are not going to like this news. We are reporting that The Magicians’ current season will the last season. The season five finale was meant to take place on April 1st of this year. That date will now be the series finale.
SYFY released a statement via Deadline:
“The Magicians has been a part of our Syfy family for five fantastic seasons. As we near the end of this journey, we want to thank John McNamara, Sera Gamble, Henry Alonso Myers, Lev Grossman, and our entire brilliant cast, crew, writers and directors for their beautiful creation. But most of all, we thank the fans for their tremendous support and passion. Because of you, magic will be in our hearts forever.”

There had been a feeling that season five would be the end, so apparently the finale for season five was written as a series finale. Hopefully, this will bring some comfort to fans. What do you think about The Magicians ending?
