Sinkhole Short Story to Be Adapted by Jordan Peele and Issa Rae

Two seriously talented individuals are teaming up as producers on an upcoming project for Universal. Jordan Peele and Issa Rae partner up for an adaptation of the short story Sinkhole. Sinkhole is about a young family who moves into a home that is supposed to be the house of their dreams. The problem? A gaping sinkhole in the backyard. Even crazier? This sinkhole takes broken items only to make them perfect again. So…what about doing this to a person?

According to officials, the project:

“Is a genre piece that engages on the question of female perfection and identity.”

Layna Krow is the author of the short story and will executive produce on the project. Rae will be producing alongside Montrel McKay and Sara Rastogi for Rae’s Issa Rae Productions. Peele and Win Rosenfeld will produce under Monkeypaw Productions.

What do you think about Peele and Rae producing an adaptation of Sinkhole?
