    Sony To Release The Iconic Movie Musical ‘Rent’ On 4K UHD Blu-Ray This November For 20th Anniversary

    Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that the raw and riveting musical Rent will be available to own for the first time on 4K UHD Blu-Ray on November 18, 2025, in celebration of the film’s 20th anniversary. The film from director Chris Columbus features an all-star cast including Rosario Dawson, Taye Diggs, Wilson Jermaine Heredia, Jesse L. Martin, Idina Menzel, Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp, and Tracie Thoms. The new release will feature the film remastered in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and an array of special features.     Synopsis: Set in New York City’s gritty East Village, the revolutionary rock opera RENT tells the story of a group of bohemians struggling to live and pay their rent. “Measuring their lives in love,” these starving artists strive for success and acceptance while enduring the obstacles of poverty, illness and the AIDS epidemic.
