Sorry, There May Not Be a Third Wreck-It Ralph Planned

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”10584″ img_size=”960×410″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]When we like a movie or television show, we want it to keep going. Wreck-it Ralph was a fun, heartwarming movie that was released in 2012 and it seems that its sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet is nothing short of the same spirit. While we are living in a time that sees another installment to Toy Story and other beloved animated films, it seems that there may not be a third movie in the Ralph franchise. There are no spoilers in this article featured!

Directors Phil Johnston and Rich Moore feel that the way they ended the movie was a nice, neat bow and as we’ve seen in other pieces of cinema, sometimes reviving or continuing a forced story ends up harming the franchise.

“I mean, I don’t know because I feel good about where they’re at. I mean you could envision like plot things where something gets screwed up and they have to reconnect to fix it. But in terms of it being a story of maturation for Ralph? Like he’s really, like John Reilly said in the press conference. The internet represents the sort of adult phase of their life. And I think Ralph at the end, has matured where he is comfortable in his skin and he will make friends and he and Vanellope will still hang out. And Vanellope is just coming of age, she’s just finding that thing that makes her passionate, and I don’t know.” – Johnston said.

Still, we aren’t sure what will happen, as the first Wreck-It Ralph was meant to be a standalone movie and as we can see, it’s been some years since the original. Have you seen Ralph Breaks the Internet yet?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
