We are luckily getting a third Spider-Man movie with the help of Marvel Studios and Sony. Tom Holland will reprise his role as Peter Parker in the untitled third film that will actually begin production in July. According to ComicBook, the production is expected to run through November of this year. The movie is reportedly set to film in Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and Iceland. In the second film, Far From Home, Peter was all over Europe, but it seems his traveling adventures are far from over. Los Angeles, hm? Could there be a tie-in with Venom?
Jon Watts will return for the third movie and it’s expected that Jacob Battalon and Zendaya will come back. We saw that at the end of Far From Home, Parker’s identity was revealed. Not only that, but that he was framed for killing Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio. This has been teased also in the Morbius trailer, where we see “murderer” painted over a poster of Spider-Man. So, we will probably see Peter deal with the fallout of that event.
Spider-Man 3 will hit theaters on July 16 2021.
