Ever since Tom Holland swung his way on screen in Captain America: Civil War, we’ve loved the actor’s rendition of Spider-Man. His solo movie, Homecoming; was a massive success, and we the fans have tentatively been keeping an eye on the development of the sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Now, it seems that Holland has wrapped filming on the anticipated Marvel movie, having posted a picture on Instagram:
Spider-Man: Far From Home will include Peter Parker and friends on a global-trotting adventure that is sure to be a more upbeat film to help fans recover after what I’m sure will be a heartbreaking movie, Avengers 4. Considering the events of Infinity War and that this is Chris Evans’ last time as Captain America, it’s going to be bittersweet. Just like Ant-Man and The Wasp helped us after the shocking end of Infinity War, Far From Home will act in the same capacity:
“Much like Ant-Man, there are things that people know about that movie, which is a great deal of the movie: the villain of the movie, the storyline of the film, that we’re shooting in Europe and that Peter Parker goes on continuing that [Captain America: Civil War] was a big giant superhero class movie.” Feige explained to ComicBook.com earlier this year. “The fall out of that in Homecoming was John Hughes and him going to his high school. So that’s what’s fun to us about the Spider-Man movies. And again going from Infinity War to Ant-Man and the Wasp, the tonal shift.”
We’re sure to find out how Peter Parker comes back after his demise in Infinity War and it’ll fun to see Holland back with his friends, along with Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio!
Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters July 5, 2019.
