Joe Russo Explains How Avengers: Endgame Changed Spider-Man: Far From Home’s Timeline

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”21071″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]One little spoiler before Avengers: Endgame was probably Spider-Man: Far From Home. Obviously, despite Peter Parker getting “dusted” in Avengers: Infinity War, we all knew he had to come back for the sequel to Homecoming, which comes out July 2nd. Despite there being obvious plans in place for a Spider-Man sequel with Tom Holland, Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo describe how the “Snap” affected Far From Home.

“So… Ned disappeared as well. That’s the two of them seeing each other for the first time after having disappeared.” – Joe Russo explains, as we weren’t sure if Ned had lived or died; we were also confused seeing all of the high school students at the end of Endgame despite there having been a five-year gap, where many of the remaining students would have outgrown high school.

Joe then goes on to say that the reason you see all of Parker’s classmates in the Far From Home trailer simply means that his group was part of those who disappeared after Thanos’s snap:

“There could be kids who are now much older than them and no longer in high school. But Ned and he both disappeared and are returning in that moment.”

What do you think of this explanation? Are you excited to see Far From Home?
