The hype for Peter Parker became even grander due to Tom Holland’s performance and now we look to him as not only a staple in the MCU, but a joy to have within the actor’s realm. Currently, Holland has played the friendly neighborhood hero in one solo film, three team-up movies, and will return for another solo film – Spider-Man: Far From Home.
After the upcoming film, which will feature Parker dealing with life after the death of Tony Stark and attempting to enjoy himself on a class trip; when will we see Spider-Man again? He’s already the third actor to play the part and fans are wondering if they’ll have to say goodbye to Holland soon. Thankfully, though; the actor has stated that he is willing to keep up with the role for as many as twenty movies:
“It feels pretty good. It’s an amazing experience as an actor and such a privileged experience as an actor to get to play characters that you love so much. Time and time again. Um, I definitely have the mindset of, if you want to make 20 of these movies, then I’m down because it’s really fun. It’s, it’s been a real privilege and so much fun. Maybe even more fun this time around than the last one. It’s been great.”
Holland had signed on for a six-picture deal that would entail three solo films and three team-up movies. By this standard, Holland has one more solo movie to go, so if he’s wanting to fulfill that twenty movie promise, Sony and Marvel are going to have to negotiate. Hopefully, both studios will see how lucrative and popular his Spider-Man is and do the right thing.
Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters July 2nd.
