The number of projects that the late Stan Lee had been involved with was staggering to say the least. Now, one of his final projects has landed a director. John Landis has signed on to direct Lee’s final project, Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten. In addition to his directing chores, Landis will also produce the animated series, which will include Arnold Schwarzenegger as a teacher to several super-powered youths. For his part, Landis has directed such films as Coming to America, An American Werewolf in London, as well as Michael Jackson’s iconic Thriller video.
Schwarzenegger will also be producing the series, which was developed by DeadPool co-creator Fabian Niceza. As another part of Landis responsibilities, he has been tasked to develop some live action spin-off’s of the show. This will be along with Genius Brand Development and CEO Andy Heyward. During the announcement, Landis expressed his excitement of the new project.
I am honored to work with Andy and Arnold for the first time in bringing Stan’s vision to life with this action-packed series infused with comedy and heart.
Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten is scheduled to premier on Amazon Prime in 2021. Do you think that the team of Landis and Schwarzenegger can land Stan Lee’s final project? Share what you think with us at GeekVibesNation.
