Star Trek The Next Generation’s Brent Spiner to Guest Star in CBS All Access Picard Series

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”23110″ img_size=”640×360″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Patrick Stewart is not the only one returning to his Star Trek roots, as it seems that Brent Spiner will be guest starring on CBS All Access’s Star Trek: Picard. According to Revenge of the Fans, the actor will pop up in the series that has everyone talking.

Spiner had previously expressed that he had “aged out” of playing the robot Lt. Commander Data in The Next Generation, as how can a robot age? We could be seeing the work of CGI de-aging or maybe a dream sequence? Or if he’s even a different model now. There are a lot of questions, but considering Data was one of my favorite characters in The Next Generation, it’s nice to see Spiner joining his older colleague for the series.

Jonathan Frakes, who played Riker in TNG; is returning to direct the second half of the Picard episodes, so it seems like a lot of the Star Trek TNG alum are making their way back to the fold.

Who do you think Spiner should play in Picard, which is set to air late 2019.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
