Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Making A Possible Comeback?!

What a time to be alive! A new rumor surfaced recently that Lucasfilm Games may be working on a new game for the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic franchise. This rumor comes directly from Bespin Bulletin and the B.O.B. the Podcast. Bespin hasn’t said where they got this information from but has stated that this game is indeed in the works – of course this information came to Bespin from a few unnamed sources.

A couple of interesting things to take note here: we don’t know if this is going to be a new story or a remake. Given the fact that we are in the era of remakes and remasters, it’s not outside the realm of possibility. Bespin was also a bit vague on this one and hasn’t clearly said it would be a remake, just that it would be a new game in that particular universe.

The other interesting thing is that thanks to Jason Schreier, he’s confirmed…at least in part that EA isn’t handling this project. The news came out recently that a new partnership with Ubisoft has begun, and whatever game they’re working on will be an open-world game this time around.

J.S. isn’t 100% sure on this info

The fact that we’ve received information about Ubisoft’s partnership with Disney and them taking on a new Star Wars project makes this particular rumor seem a bit more solid. Of course, with any rumor the best thing to do is to take it with a grain of salt. More to come as this story unfolds, tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
