Steve and Alex Join The Battle! Announced As Playable Characters In Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo and Sakurai have officially announced the newest characters making their way to the hit multiplayer fighter Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Thus far we’ve been treated to Super Mario‘s Piranha Plant, Persona 5’s Joker, Dragon Quest’s Hero, Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard, the titular Banjo and Kazooie, Fire Emblem’s Byleth, and most recently ARMS’ MinMin. Now Minecraft’s Steve and Alex join the fray (along with their nemeses Enderman and Zombie).

From the looks of things Steve, Alex, Enderman, and Zombie will be very unique fighters. Blending what looks to be Animal Crossing’s Villager and Isabelle with Hero and a touch of Byleth and even a little Pac-Man. Thankfully, Sakurai gives us his detailed character breakdown on 10/3, so we won’t have to wait long to see exactly how this character plays.

With four characters still to be announced by end of 2021, there’s sure to be a slew of news heading our way. I can’t wait to see who will be joining the already massive roster next! Stay tuned!
