In a world where there had been talks of remaking the Godfather and The Princess Bride, it seems there’s nothing considered too sacred to remake in Hollywood. However, one director is determined to make sure his classic movie doesn’t get the remake treatment.
Steven Spielberg’s hit film Jaws came out in 1975 and is still a staple in pop culture to this day. In a report by Deadline, the outlet stated:
“One area [Spielberg] will not revisit is Jaws. Deadline heard recently that Universal broached the subject to reboot Spielberg’s breakout classic, with Spielberg producing, and the answer was a firm no. Some at Universal and Amblin said this was already known and not a recent conversation.”
I for one hope that we don’t see a Jaws remake. Let’s stick to maybe not remaking everything?
