For those who are fans of the classics, Fathom Events will be hosting screenings of the 1978 Superman: The Movie in select theaters on Sunday, November 25th. The Richard Donner film will be celebrating its 40th anniversary and this is a real treat for fans to see Superman’s first live-action adaptation in a movie theater again.
Superman: The Movie featured Reeve as Clark Kent, with the critically-acclaimed Marlon Brando as Jor-El, Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, Ned Beatty as Otis, Jackie Cooper as Perry White, Glenn Ford as Jonathan Kent, Trevor Ford as the First Elder, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, Valerie Perrine as Eve Teschmacher, Maria Schell as Vond-Ah, Terence Stamp as General Zod, Phyllis Thaxter as Martha Kent and Susannah York as Lara. And if you don’t know who any of these actors are, you should probably ask your parents and educate yourself on classic movies. Many of these names were household ones in their day; essentially a star-studded mashup of the 1970s.
Will you be heading to the theaters for Superman’s 40th anniversary?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
