Sylvester Stallone Teases The Start of Filming for ‘Rambo 5’

There was a time where I felt that Sylvester Stallone shouldn’t have been pushing himself to make movies anymore. I couldn’t have been more wrong. After the Expendables, Creed, and his cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, I want more of the Italian Stallion. And more I shall receive, as Sly has recently teased that filming for the upcoming Rambo film will be underway. Everything makes a comeback and that includes 80s cinema. Not only will Halloween 2018 be gracing our screens soon, but Stallone will return to the big screen for one of his most notable roles. A quintessential action-packed 80s film up there with any Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, Rambo’s return is sure to draw in both old and new crowds.

According to Comicbook.com, the plot is as follows:

Rambo, now retired and living a humble life as a ranch worker in Arizona, is drawn into another bloody fight when a longtime family friend reports her granddaughter has gone missing. He teams with an investigative journalist — whose half-sister has been snatched — to track down and rescue a group of girls kidnapped by a notorious Mexican sex trafficking ring.

The last Rambo came out in 2008, which was roughly twenty years after Rambo III. The actor is 72, which was why I originally felt he needed to stop pushing himself with these action movies. That was a poor conclusion for me to come to, as if you see Sly on social media, the man shows no signs of slowing down! His movie Creed, starring Michael B Jordan; received tremendous praise and Creed II looks just as good.

Rambo 5 does not have a release date yet, but we are hoping for a 2019 premiere.
