Teen Titans #34 Review (2019)

In this issue of Teen Titans, someone has stolen Djinn’s ring! Robin has initiated a lock down so that he can interrogate those that that were in the tower. Who do you think would do such a thing? Or, why did they take it in the first place? Everyone is a suspect Robin, Kid Flash, Crush, and Roundhouse.

Adam Glass does a great job writing these characters. Crush was used more effectively than the rest of the Titans. She is the most emotional of the group, that makes her seem like an excellent first suspect and Robin being a great detective chooses her as the primary suspect. Crush being the way she is, is starting to get more of a temper the more Robin interrogates her.

The second suspect is Roundhouse we got a little more into his character in this issue which is good, but to me, it seems like he was dodging questions from Robin a little too much. Talking about his sister and telling Robin he knows when he is being integrated.

The third suspect was Robin; this page was honestly the best for me. The way Djinn takes control over the conversation was incredible, and then the last suspect was Kid Flash, Kid Flash had the speed to take the Ring without anyone noticing and was shown to have betrayed Robin as well.

At this point, everyone is a right suspect, when you look at it in Robin’s perspective but if I look at it from the standpoint of just a reader, it is an obvious answer if you watch a lot of mysteries. So I see the cliffhanger as an obvious cliffhanger, but it was effective.

Now do I think this is worth picking up? Yes, you should, especially if you are already keeping up with Teen Titans. But, if you are not, I believe this is a great solo read as well.

Who do you think stole Djinn’s ring and why do you think he/she did it? Comment your thought below!
