The Long Wait Is Over: Star Wars Fans Are Getting the Prequel They Deserve.
As The Star Wars: The Clone Wars is nearing its end, they are doing us a favor by releasing the prequel movie we all deserve.
We all feel the same way about how the Star Wars prequel came out; it could’ve been better. The Phantom Menace is a potential wasted. The only redeemable quality of it was Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn’s partnership, but aside from that, it wasn’t worth it.
As the final four episodes make its conclusion, the “movie” has found a way to connect the events of the Revenge of the Sith and “Old Friends Not Forgotten.” They are already paving the way as the final battles of The Clone Wars takes place about the same time General Grievous kidnaps Palpatine.
These remaining episodes are the most crucial ones because they are laying the foundation for the Empire’s rise, giving context as to how heavy story-wise the execution of Order 66 is. Compared to the old prequel, this one showcases Palpatine’s pure brilliance as a villain; the way he manipulated Anakin here is carried out gracefully without leaving the audience to fill in the gap themselves, making the politics more intense. These turn of events are the real turning point of Anakin to the Dark Side. The Clone Wars team did an outstanding job of covering a lot of ground the prequels didn’t provide. This effort made the Siege of Mandalore as thrilling as the ascension of the Emperor.
The Clone Wars became so popular that characters may get a dedicated video game or the iGaming plots. Movie and TV shows are good but gaming is another level. Die-hard fans are waiting for video game versions of The Clone Wars while the online gaming industry has already developed the game. “Old Friends Not Forgotten” is Heading To the Right Direction.
The end is nigh. The season’s ninth episode “Old Friends Not Forgotten” just hit Disney Plus last April 17th, paving the way for the much-awaited Siege of Mandalore. Let’s do an Episode 9 recap.
We pick up with ex-Padawan Ahsoka Tano after her she discovers the criminal mastermind’s identity when she teamed up with her once enemy Bo-Katan Kryze together with her Mandalorian mates in an attempt to kick Maul of the planet permanently.
Anakin Skywalker rescues his former master Obi-Wan Kenobi from a massive wave of droids, fooling them with a force projection. He kills the tactical droid first, leaving the droid army vulnerable to the clones. The master and the ex-padawan returned triumphantly to Ahsoka. As they lay their concerns slowly, they received terrible news: General Grievous has attacked the Imperial Center.
With that, we now arrived at the events of the Revenge of the Sith. Ahsoka and Anakin meet up, with him leaving a platoon of clone troopers at her disposal, under the command of Commander Rex. This reveal is a powerful moment, especially since it is their final meeting as Ahsoka and pre-Vader Anakin, and probably Obi-Wan too.
As Ahsoka and Bo-Katan return to their homeworld, the big reveal came: the Mandalorians are Mauldalorians. Almec was working with Rook Kast and Gar Saxon. Almec and his buddies were about to flee; they agreed to meet in the sewers. Almec was apprehended by Bo-Katan Kryze, discovering that Ahsoka was heading into a trap. Ahsoka and her troops get picked off one by one. The sith lord drew near the shattered Ahsoka, displeased. Maul was expecting Kenobi.
