With Ezra Miller’s excitement to get the film off the ground, there has been recent news for The Flash production. According to the Deadline article, Michael Disco will be a producer on The Flash. Michael Disco is known for being the executive producer for films such as: San Andreas, Rampage featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Central Intelligence, The Horrible Bosses franchise, Game Night and Golden Globe winner The Disaster Artist. Early career successes included Hairspray, Valentine’s Day, and He’s Just Not That Into You.
With Michael Disco joining The Flash production, there is also confirmation by Deadline that John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (both co-wrote Spider-man: Homecoming and co-directed Game Night) are set to write and direct, with Ezra Miller playing the title role. It appears that they are not going to do the DC Comics famous “Flashpoint” storyline and instead writing a solo Flash film. The Flash has struggled with starting production with directors and writers leaving the production, but if we take Ezra Miller’s word and the recent news about the project we can see that they are taking their time to make this film special, and hopefully we will get a release date for the film soon.
