Carlton Cuse will serve as the showrunner and is joined by writer Jason Fuchs.
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy originated as a comedy radio series that then went on to become a series of novels. Novels that have been wildly successful and translated into more than 30 languages. We follow the intergalactic adventures of one Arthur Dent. Dent is a “hapless Englishman” who is on his journey due to the destruction of Earth by a race of unpleasant and bureaucratic aliens called the Vogons.
Previously, Disney had adapted the story into a movie in 2005 staring Martin Freeman, Sam Rockwell, Mos Def, Zooey Deschanel, Bill Nighy, John Malkovich, Stephen Fry, and Alan Rickman.
What do you think of Hulu developing a series from this cult classic?
