Between the Netflix Marvel shows, Agents of SHIELD, The Runaways, and more, Marvel does a pretty good job with their television series. One show that Marvel cannot claim as a success is the Inhumans show. While the Inhumans were meant to appear in a movie, they became a show instead that was quickly canceled due to the incredibly high amount of negative reactions towards it.
According to MCUCosmic, it’s a rumor that the Royal Family could still appear in the actual MCU. It would definitely be a retcon, MCUCosmic surmises, considering how bad the TV show was. The site guesses this is still an option due to the upcoming introductions of characters such as Ms. Marvel and the Eternals. Plus, Kevin Feige’ quote from 2016:
“I think Inhumans will happen for sure. I don’t know when. I think it’s happening on television. And I think as we get into Phase 4 as I’ve always said, it could happen as a movie. I think it would be super cool.“
The question is, will people still want the Inhumans even after the negative reaction to the TV show? The MCU is also planning on bringing in the X-Men down the line, so will we have a need for the Inhumans storyline?
