There are a lot of movies and TV shows that are planned and canceled behind the scenes. One would be a spin-off movie of The Lost Boys. Director Joel Schumacher recently revealed that there were plans for a female-centric sequel called The Lost Girls. And it would have starred Drew Barrymore and Rosanna Arquette. In this sequel, the two actresses would have teamed up with Kiefer Sutherland’s crew of vamps.
Warner Bros. never did go forward with this female-centric movie, nor did they move forward with a pre-planned prequel. Instead, the studio went with two direct-to-video movies that were cheaply made: Lost Boys: The Tribe and Lost Boys: The Thirst. The love for The Lost Boys is still around to this day considering there is still a CW pilot in the works.
It would have been interesting to see a Lost Girls movies with two of the biggest actresses of the time in the movie. Would you have liked to see it?
