Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that the beloved family film The Muppets Take Manhattan will be available to own for the first time on 4K UHD Blu-Ray on October 24, 2023. The film from director Frank Oz stars the voices of Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Dave Goelz, Steve Whitmire, Richard Hunt, and Jerry Nelson. The film features cameo appearances from Art Carney, James Coco, Dabney Coleman, Gregory Hines, Linda Lavin, and Joan Rivers.
The new 4K disc has been remastered in 4K resolution from the original camera negative. The disc is presented with Dolby Vision and includes all-new Dolby Atmos audio as well as the 5.1 and original mono audio. Synopsis: Broadway bound, the Muppets take Manhattan by storm in this magical musical about breaking into show business!
