My DeFi Pet is a digital asset management game that allows users to collect, trade, and breed digital assets on the Ethereum blockchain. The game is based on the Decentraland platform and uses the MANA token.

Currently, the game is in its infancy – but has become increasingly popular due to being listed on Bancor’s Liquidity Network. My DeFi Pet allows users to gain passive income by staking their pets and collecting breeding fees. What is the Ethereum Blockchain?

What is Decentraland?

Decentraland is an open-source platform that allows users to create, experience, and monetize content and applications on the blockchain. The virtual world consists of a 10m by 10m grid on which games, applications, social networks can be built using Ethereum smart contracts.

A key feature of Decentraland is that it’s completely owned by its users – not controlled by centralized organizations or authorities. This means that there are no outside parties who own portions of land in the virtual world – meaning there are no 3rd party costs.

How Do I Play My DeFi Pet?

You can play My DeFi Pet by following these simple steps:

  1. Download the MetaMask browser extension and create a new account.
  2. Click the “New Asset” button to create your first pet.
  3. Name your pet and select its type.
  4. Click the “Create” button to generate your new pet’s ID on the blockchain.
  5. Copy your pet’s ID to your clipboard.
  6. Paste your pet’s ID into the “Pet ID” field and click the “Load” button.
  7. Click the “Trade” button to view the current market prices of all digital assets.
  8. Select an asset and click the “Buy” or “Sell” button to trade your pet for that asset.
  9. Your pet’s ID will be automatically saved in your browser’s local storage.

How Do I Breed Pets?

To breed pets, you first need to acquire two different types of pets. Then, follow these simple steps:

  1. Click the “Breed” button and enter the IDs of both pets.
  2. Click the “Create” button to generate a new pet ID on the blockchain.
  3. Copy your new pet’s ID to your clipboard.
  4. Paste your new pet’s ID into the “Pet ID” field and click the “Load” button.
  5. Click the “Trade” button to view the current market prices of all digital assets.
  6. Select an asset and click the “Buy” or “Sell” button to trade your pet for that asset.
  7. Your new pet’s ID will be automatically saved in your browser’s local storage.

How Do I Get MANA?

MANA is an ERC-20 token that can be obtained by purchasing it on exchanges or participating in Decentraland’s crowdsale. You can also earn MANA by playing My DeFi Pet. The game rewards you with 1 MANA for each completed trade, and 10 MANA for each unique pet bred.

Where Can I Use MANA?

MANA can be used to purchase digital assets on the My DeFi Pet game, or traded for other cryptocurrencies on exchanges. MANA is also used as gas to interact with the Ethereum blockchain. Interestingly the earning potential for this type of gaming was recently picked up on by Yahoo Finance.

Things We’re Not So Keen On

  • The lack of global trading support.
  • The high price of MANA tokens.

Despite these drawbacks, we believe that My DeFi Pet is still one of the best digital asset management games available today, and we highly recommend giving it a try!
