The NBA MVPs You Should Bet On

As the NBA season rolls around each year, more and more people become interested in placing a bet on the games of the season in order to try and win some money.

There are plenty of people who stick to wagering on the winning team, but there are also a number of different types of bets that rely on the outcome of a specific player’s performance.

So, if you are one of the people who is thinking about putting your money where your mouth is when it comes to your favorite players, you’ll want to keep up with who has been performing well this season and throughout their NBA career so you know who to bet on.

Luckily for you, we have compiled a list of the best NBA MVP (most valuable player) players that you should consider betting on this season. So, without further ado, let’s get into it!

Player Rankings

1. Nikola Jokic, Point Big, Nuggets

Jokic has established himself as a serious stand-out player compared to some of the other players on his team this season, allowing him to make the leap from All-Star to MVP favorite.

2. LeBron James, Shooting Guard/Point Guard, Lakers

LeBron James is an NBA legend, so it’s no surprise that he’s consistently in with a chance to be the MVP of any match. At 36 years old, he is still one of the best and most impactful players to have ever graced the NBA courts, and he is therefore a great player to bet on.

3. Joel Embiid, Big, 76ers

The Sixers center was a clear All-Star but as a face-up post player, there’s no denying his absolute domination in this position. This means he has been doing more of the heavy manufacturing that is required to improve his offensive plays; more than any other player.

4. Stephen Curry, Guard, Warriors

After a unanimous MVP season back in 2015 and 2016, Stephen Curry seems to be on a similar track for this season despite having a less than excellent supporting team.

It appears that Stephen Curry could be at a turning point in his career but he is still proving himself to be one of the few MVP players who can lead his team to a victory in the playoffs.

5. Kevin Durant, Big, Nets

Having spent the last decade impressing us all with his performance on the courts, there was a little bit of uncertainty leading up to this season about whether or not Kevin Durant would continue his streak or whether this would be the year he didn’t come back fighting.

However, we’re happy to report that he has been playing highly efficiently in isolation and in his shooting off the catch, as well as being well equipped to handle dribble shooting.

6. Kawhi Leanard, Wing, Clippers

There is no denying the defensive excellence and high point-scoring performance of Kawhi Leandard. In recent years he has been able to build on this to improve his playmaking and has reached a high-point in his career where is able to assist in a number of key shots.

He is still a score-first type of player, but he has definitely improved other aspects of his game which has certainly helped him to become a more well-rounded player.

7. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Big, Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of those players that is able to push boundaries and blur the lines between the gray areas of offensive and defensive plays during the game.

His fast response times and his size allow him to quickly act on even a brief momentary advantage and capitalize on the opposition’s weaknesses and vulnerabilities. For this reason, Giannis is definitely one of the MVPs to watch this upcoming season.

8. Anthony Davis, Big, Lakers

Despite not actually having played that many games throughout this season, Anthony Davis is still under consideration for MVP due to his dominating performance as a two-way frontcourt player and the versatility he displays when he is on the courts.

His offensive plays are admittedly less overwhelming, but defensively, there is no doubt about his forcefulness and he is able to completely disrupt the game. Whether he is choosing to bother or stifle passing activity near the areas that are around the paint, everybody on the court would admit that they know Davis is a force to be reckoned with.

Final Thoughts

And there you have it, some of the best NBA MVPs in basketball right now. Good luck with any bets you are placing this season!
