Not a lot is known about The New Mutants. We even think of Dark Phoenix as the last Fox-Marvel movie, but we must remember that The New Mutants is still slated to come out in August. As a movie that is meant to be in a horror genre, this was probably the beginning of something unique, but with the Fox-Disney deal looming ahead, it is very doubtful that this way of movie making for The New Mutants will continue.
But, we are getting some new information, as it seems that based on a test screening, we’re learning that there will be a lesbian romance between Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane (Maisie Williams) and Danielle Moonstar/Mirage (Blu Hunt). This will make this the second same-sex relationship on screen that the Fox-Marvel world has done, with Deadpool 2 featuring Teenage Negasonic Warhead and Yukio.

With this and the fact that Marvel is looking to cast a gay lead in the Eternals, we’re hoping that Disney and Marvel will look to incorporate more LGBT inclusion in their movies.
The New Mutants is expected to hit theaters on August 2nd.
