The Next ‘TRANSFORMERS’ Film Is Going The Way of The Beast

The last time we saw the Transformers on the big screen was back in 2018 for the Bumblebee film starring Hailee Steinfeld. That film set the tone for next installment of Transformers films and thanks to our fellow journalists over at The Illuminerdi, we have some details about the film including the working title. Right now the film going by Transformers: Beast Alliance.

Megatron: Prime 1 Studio

Many fans are probably going to lose their respective shit over this news. Beast Wars is a very popular franchise including toys, comics, video games and a series that went from 1996-1999. Instead of the popular vehicles the Transformers would change into, the characters would turn into animals and insects. We examples of this in Transformers with Scorponok and Ravage.

Illuminerdi also informs that their sources have told them that the movie will be set during the 90s this time and is confirmed to take place in the Bumblebee timeline. Described as a heist film, it will span from Brooklyn to South America. I wonder if John Cena will return? Steven Caple Jr. is directing the film and is said to be looking for an African-American or Latino actor for the lead role. They also want an older female to serve as co-lead.

Travis Knight directed Bumblebee and many fans found it a breath of fresh air and new life for the franchise after Michael Bay’s take on it. I think this movie is in great hands with Caple and as a fan of the franchise, I look forward to seeing this franchise grow even more.
