[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”21485″ img_size=”798×420″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]One of the best small scenes in Avengers: Endgame was the Cap vs. Cap fight where we see present-day Steve Rogers briefly go up against his 2012 self. The action sequence includes some great lines, along with Cap taking a moment afterward to…admire himself. According to the Russo brothers, we almost got a scene very similar to another original 6 Avenger – Thor. Yep, we were supposed to see Thor duke it out with himself during his time traveling period to Thor: The Dark World.
“We did have that,” they told the host. “There was a sequence where they finally confront one another in Asgard. I can’t remember exactly why we moved off of that. I think it got overly complicated and then we liked the Cap vs. Cap better.”
While we did enjoy the Cap vs. Cap scene, it would have been cool to see Thor vs. himself as well. Perhaps we’ll see it as a deleted scene when Endgame comes out on Blu-Ray?
