The Simpsons Get a Two-Year Renewal from FOX

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”15065″ img_size=”800×450″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The Simpsons is like a soap-opera in the sense that it may very well go on forever. It is literally TV’s longest-running series ever and it’s about to last even longer as the Fox show had secured a two season renewal that will bring it up to spring of 2021 with its 32nd season. This is ahead of the Disney deal that is expected to finalize around June sometime, but according to reports it’s been due to the reducing of the licensing fee for this series that has earned it a renewal – two seasons no less.

With these two seasons, it gives Disney a chance to figure out what they’re going to want to do with the Simpsons afterward. If they chose to move the show to a different network, it would be allowing the company the ability to then negotiate a billion-dollar new broadcast, cable, and streaming pact for The Simpsons – which, would be the first time since 1989, which was when the show started.

Are you happy to see The Simpsons get a two-season renewal?
