[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”7841″ img_size=”500×500″ alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]It is with deep regret that we report that The Walking Dead star Scott Wilson has passed away at the age of 76.
It was as early as yesterday, that Wilson was confirmed to be returning to The Walking Dead during the New York Comic Con panel being held at Madison Square Garden. The actor had been very active on the comic con circuit around the country throughout the year, having played the role of Hershel Greene on AMC’s popular zombie series. In fact, Wilson had been scheduled to appear at Walker Stalker Con in Atlanta in late October. This is an event that brings together much of the The Walking Dead‘s former and present cast members. His presence will be deeply missed.
Besides his work on the Walking Dead, Wilson’s resume includes Hostiles, The OA, Damien, and Bosch. His first role was in 1967’s In the Heat of the Night.
“According to his rep, Dominic Mancini, Wilson died of complications from his leukemia. The actor was in his home in Los Angeles, where Mancini said that he went peacefully.” We at GVNation send our deepest condolences to Scott Wilson’s family, friends and to all his fans world-wide.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
