The Witcher: Blood Origin Casting Revealed

The Witcher hit Netflix last year and was a massive success. So, this shouldn’t come as a surprise – there’s a prequel series coming to the streaming service. A six-episode limited series will be called The Witcher: Blood Origin. While we’re all gearing up for the second season of The Witcher with Henry Cavill, The Illuminerdi has provided casting details for Blood Origin.

Blood Origin will take place in an elven world 1200 years before the start of the original series. The series will explore the very first Witcher, as well as the event known as the “conjunction of the spheres”. This has been referred to in both the game and show.

The Illuminerdi reports that Blood Origin is currently casting a female and male lead. The female lead is named Eile “The Lark” Lithe. According to the blog site, Eile is a woman meant to be around her late twenties, early thirties. She described as being from a Clan of Elves that use knives as their main weapon. The Witcher: Blood Origin is looking for a “diverse” actor for the role. They’re looking for someone with a background in dance and stunt work.

The male lead is called Fjall. The same age as Eile, he is from an opposing clan. He’s described as physically strong, as well as “raw, gritty, and visceral”.
