There had been rumors of an animated Witcher project that would tie into the Netflix series starring Henry Cavill before season one had premiered. Now, those rumors are confirmed for this project to be released in-between seasons one and two. It will be a movie and will be named The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.

Nightmare of the Wolf is written by Beau DeMayo, who wrote season one episode three ‘Betrayer Moon’. DeMayo is currently writing an episode for season two. It would make sense that the wolf in the title would be Geralt of Rivia, so is Henry returning to lend his voice for the animated movie? Henry adores playing the character, so I can’t imagine they would get someone else for the part instead of Cavill.

Sources also say voice actress Harriet Kershaw might be involved; providing her voice for “various roles”.

As we find out more information, we will let you know.

I’d love to see anime version of the Witcher. What animation style with these series by Netflix be? 3D or anime?

Most likely it would be some sort of 2D/Anime style. Though they could go 3D with it. Details are scarce right now.
