The summer of 2020 was a summer like no other. There were so many restrictions on our lives that certain events we look forward to every year simply didn’t happen. Luckily, most of them have been simply postponed until this year. Here’s a look at three of the big global events in the world of entertainment to look out for this summer.
Euro 2020
Like the name suggests, one of the world’s biggest football tournaments was due to take place last year, but of course, got postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Now in 2021, the big tournament is due to get underway in just a few weeks’ time. It’s been three years since any of these teams took on each other in a major tournament, and those teams that didn’t qualify for the World Cup have been waiting five years or longer for a big tournament. This means that this year’s tournament is proving a lot harder to predict than in previous years. If you want to get a better idea of which teams are most likely to make it to the final, why not check the odds on the Unibet Euro site. The betting provider has odds on everything, from who will be the top goalscorer, who will be the eventual winner, and even who will win all of the games in-between.
Black Widow in cinemas
It’s not just big sporting events that were delayed due to the pandemic. Many movie producers postponed the release of their big titles simply because people weren’t able to get to the movie theatres. Some were quietly released on streaming platforms like Disney Plus, but the big titles have been rightfully saved for the big screen. One of the films that fans have been waiting the longest for is Black Widow, which was originally due out in May 2020. Although fans have had to wait over a year longer for this Marvel film to hit the big screen, the wait has done nothing to dampen the fans’ excitement. When Scarlet Johansson finally makes it to the big screen as the lead in this much-awaited film, it’s sure to be one of the biggest selling films of the year.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on PS5
If you’re one of the lucky ones to have actually managed to get your hands on a PS5, you’ll be wanting some games that truly push the limits of what this machine is capable of. The only problem is there have been very few exclusive games out for the PS5 over the last few months. Many of the games playable on this console are either more enhanced versions of a game developed for the PS4 or available on other consoles like Xbox and Nintendo Switch. In June, a PlayStation legend will finally grace the newest console with a game exclusive to the PS5. When Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart drops in June, it’ll be sure to please both the casual gamer and those who have been playing with this duo on many different generations of the PlayStation console.
