Timothy Dalton Cast in Lead Role in DC Universe’s Doom Patrol

In more recent years, he was known for his role on Showtime’s Penny Dreadful. Now, Dalton will return for a leading role in the upcoming DC Universe’s Doom Patrol. The series consists of 13 episodes and will be written by Jeremy Carver of Supernatural and will be also produced by Greg Berlanti of the CW’s Arrowverse, and Geoff Johns.

Dalton will be Dr. Niles Caulder aka The Chief. He is described as a man who was a pioneer in medical science, whose philosophies were controversial. He is determined to help those in need, including the heroes who make up Doom Patrol.



Starring in Doom Patrol are Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man (Dwain Murphy), Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby) and Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), who are led by modern-day mad scientists Dr. Niles Caulder and Cyborg (Joivan Wade).

Doom Patrol will premiere on DC Universe in 2019.
