You may know Alan Ritchson from the DC show Titans. Now, you can know him as Jack Reacher. Collider has confirmed that Ritchson has been cast as the titular character for Amazon Prime’s Jack Reacher series. The show will be written by Nick Santora, who will also executive produce and showrun.
The Jack Reacher series has been in development for the past year. Season one will be based on the first Reacher novel – The Killing Floor. Previously, Tom Cruise played Jack Reacher for the big screen. But, Prime makes sense for a Jack Reacher series. Prime has already done well with the John Krasinski-led Tom Clancy series, Jack Ryan. Two badass Jacks in one app!
Jack Reacher is described as 6’5″ in the books. Which, made Cruise’s 5’7″ stature questionable for the role. Ritchson is 6’4″ and weight 235 pounds. Considering how well he does in Titans – I think we’ll all enjoy this new Jack Reacher.
