Brenton Thwaites recently spoke with TVLine and gave some hints as to who the main villain would be. We see, in the show; Dick Grayson attempting to protect Raven, but we are unaware just yet who the main baddie is.
“The evil force on this show has multiple different colors and visions; it is a human, played by a human actor; and there are sci-fi elements to it. [The villain] requires us all to band together, to use all our skills to overcome him.”
A common trope in television and movies is for a band of misfits to come together to stop a common enemy and let’s be honest, no matter how many times we see it on screen, it never gets old! Whoever the villain is, he’ll surely have his work cut out for him by facing off with the show’s superheroes.
In the same sit-down, Geoff Johns offered some cues as to Dick Grayson’s eventual transformation from Robin to Nightwing:
“Obviously, Dick Grayson’s evolution from Robin to Nightwing is a big part of his character, and at some point he will evolve into that.”
Considering the darker tone of the show, Grayson becoming Nightwing is something we all want to see.
