Best known for her role on Doctor Who, Gumede will play Mercy Graves. You will recognize the name as Lex Luthor’s formidable bodyguard and ruthless right hand.
Here is the official character description given by the producers:
“Mercy Graves is the ruthless, cunning, right hand and bodyguard to the notorious Lex Luthor – serving her boss with unquestioned loyalty. Her connection to the Luthors runs deep, as Mercy has been a friend of the family and in Lex’s life since they were young.”
Graves first appeared in Superman: The Animated series in 1996 before being introduced into the comics. This is similar to Harley Quinn having been introduced in 1992 in Batman: The Animated Series before being adopted into the comics.
Swamp Thing was canceled right after its second episode hit the DC Universe app. This caused many to be concerned for the other DC Universe shows, but Titans will get a second season and it’s fleshing out nicely!
