He’s been alongside other great actors like Jon Bernthal in Pilgrimage and Joel Kinnaman in Edge of Winter. Now, it seems Holland is in talks with Sam Mendes, a former James Bond director; to lead his WWI drama 1917.
Personally, I love war movies. Maybe that isn’t something I’m supposed to say, but films centered around conflicts usually make for the most compelling stories and acting. With the director of Skyfall and Spectre teaming up with Penny Dreadful writer Krysty Wilson-Cairns, 1917 is sure to be something to see. No details are out yet about the plot of the movie or Holland’s would-be character, but it’ll be good to see Holland getting more work. He’s working on Spider-Man: Far From Home right now, but who doesn’t want more Holland on their screen?
1917 is expected to premiere in theaters in December, 2019.
